Há momentos que nos definem. Lembro-me de uma madrugada fria em um aeroporto europeu, um não-lugar suspenso no tempo. Ali, enquanto o mundo dormia, eu e meu irmão Kung Fu nos conectamos através do Chi Sao. Sob o olhar atento do nosso Si Fu, nossas mãos contaram uma história silenciosa, uma conversa que me fez refletir sobre a própria alma do nosso caminho.

There are moments that define us. I remember a cold dawn in a European airport, a non-place suspended in time. There, while the world slept, my Kung Fu brother and I connected through Chi Sao. Under the watchful eye of our Si Fu, our hands told a silent story, a conversation that made me reflect on the very soul of our path.

Every warrior's journey rests on three invisible pillars: Genealogy, Tradition, and Legacy.

A Genealogia é a nossa história, a prova de que não nascemos do vácuo. É a linhagem que flui do Si Jo Ving Tsun ao Grande Mestre Julio Camacho, e dele até nós. É o nosso sangue, a nossa raiz. O Mestre nos apresenta esse mapa e diz: "Honre de onde você veio".

Genealogy is our history, the proof that we were not born from a vacuum. It is the lineage that flows from Si Jo Ving Tsun to Great Master Julio Camacho, and from him to us. It is our blood, our root. The Master presents us with this map and says: "Honor where you came from."

Sobre essa raiz, construímos a Tradição. Ela é a ciência e a filosofia do nosso combate, os movimentos do Sistema que repetimos até que se tornem parte de nós. É o "como" e o "porquê" de cada movimento. A Tradição é o que o Mestre nos entrega, a forma que garante que o conhecimento sobreviva.

Upon this root, we build Tradition. It is the science and philosophy of our combat, the movements of the System that we repeat until they become part of us. It is the "how" and the "why" of each movement. Tradition is what the Master gives us, the form that ensures knowledge survives.

Mas a jornada só se completa no Legado. O Legado não é o que aprendemos, mas quem nos tornamos. É a nossa Arte – a expressão única que damos à Tradição. É a fé que depositamos no sistema, a crença de que a disciplina pode forjar a alma. O Mestre não ensina o Legado; ele o inspira com seu exemplo. A missão final do discípulo não é copiar a arte do Mestre, mas absorver sua sabedobia para, um dia, superá-lo, tornando-se ele mesmo um elo na corrente da Genealogia e deixando sua própria arte como um novo Legado.

But the journey is only completed in the Legacy. Legacy is not what we learn, but who we become. It is our Art – the unique expression we give to the Tradition. It is the faith we place in the system, the belief that discipline can forge the soul. The Master does not teach Legacy; he inspires it with his example. The disciple's final mission is not to copy the Master's art, but to absorb his wisdom to one day surpass him, becoming a link in the chain of Genealogy himself and leaving his own art as a new Legacy.

Esta é a alma do Kung Fu. Uma jornada que parte da história, se constrói na ciência e se realiza na arte.

This is the soul of Kung Fu. A journey that begins in history, is built on science, and is fulfilled in art.
